About Lance Studio
Lance Studio is a Melbourne-based Shopify practice built on development and hands-on retail operations, including the pet supplies business Pikapet.
The background
I took on ecommerce and retail operations at Pikapet, working with the everyday realities of products, stock, orders and customer experience. That experience shapes how I approach Shopify: understand the work first, then build something the merchant can use and maintain.
How I work
I confirm the task and estimate, request only the access required, make the change, run QA, and send evidence before sensitive work is published.
Retail experience and recognition
Two different moments in my work: being recognised as a finalist myself, and accepting an award on behalf of a business I helped operate.
Pikapet won the 2024 East Melbourne Local Business Award for Pet Care. Having taken on operations at the pet supplies business, I was asked to accept the award on its behalf.
I was a finalist in the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards. This photo was taken when I attended the awards event, a personal milestone alongside my work in ecommerce and retail.
The 2026 finalist recognition is personal. The 2024 Pet Care award belongs to Pikapet, which I represented at the ceremony.
